The story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

  • Awesome Movie for everyone

I took 20 people to see the movie, Godzilla fans, non Godzilla fans, men, women, and kids. Everyone loved the movie. Lots of great action and monster scenes. A true roller coaster ride of a movie.

  • Monster Verse Version of Thanos' Snap....Only not as Emotional

I loved the 2014 Godzilla. Godzilla, rightfully, was the main character of that film with great supporting roles played by Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ken Watanabe, and Bryan Cranston. This film switches that. There is a lot more focus placed on human characters and it's not necessarily for the better. While I wouldn't say the acting was bad, I'd say the character motivations were all over the place as there were more heel and face turns in this movie then there are in professional wrestling. I couldn't tell if Millie Bobby Brown's character was a brainwashed child, a disturbed child, or just a rebelious teem and I found myself being quite annoyed with her. While the movie does explain each character's background it's at the detrement of Godzilla's screen time. Now, as far as the Titans go, the main reason they were unleashed this time around is because ecoterrorist believe that the world is overpopulated and is using up too much resources. So the solution is to let the Titans wipe a majority of humanity. I was a little disappointed into how bad their CGI looked (although you could say that for the majority of the film). While I understand the flying Titans being able to move quickly, it's weird seeing Godzilla move like he has nitrous strapped to his back. These are Titans, they are supposed to move slowly but powerfully as they did in the first film. Instead, you can almost imagine a 5 year old's hands on King Ghidorah and Godzilla as if they were toys crashing them into each other. The plot had potential, but unfotuantely for Warner Bros. Thanos' motivation for wiping out half the universe is far more compelling and emotional than Warner Bros. DC Verse and Monster Verse combined. It's a fun watch, but nothing to really write home about. I am still invested and excited for the third film because of the tease. Here's hoping it's better cast and better written.

Great kaiju action and story! Godzilla is back and more powerful than ever! Would watch again and again. The movie is much better than critics say. Very entertaining and lots of action. You will not be disappointed!

What a complete waste of time. The director needs to find a new career. Some of the acting was very good, but characters were implausible. I was fully expecting this movie to be complete escapism BUT not a complete insult to my intelligence. The lead character was particularly annoying, imoral, and downright evil despite being portrayed as a flawed heroine. This could have been a really good movie, even a blockbuster - what a pity. Don't waste your time watching it
  • Monster Royal Rumble!

This movie may not have a 100% air-tight storyline, but this movie is what any long-time Godzilla fan wants—monsters duking it out in gorgeous CG. It’s a movie I will watch many times in the future.

One of the worst movies of all time. I seriously can’t see how anyone would give this above 1 star and I am open minded to every movie! Awful!

I turned it off before it finished. Stupid personal dramas throughout. It’s a consistent check list when a movie is made us America: there must be the yappy woman role, there must be the obnoxious child who should just be locked in her room away from the adults, there must be a handful of talentless black actors to fulfill the diversity quota, as well as the white dork in stupid glasses for comic relief, the meaningless plot, and of course endless explosions, fantastical technology, and meaningless dialogue, you will find it all in this new Godzilla movie. You just know and can be certain that when a movie with insipid actors, senseless plot, and shallow characters get multiple 5 stars reviews that the reviewers are either 12 years old or are paid $20 by the studio to write a fawning review. How terrible and silly American made movies are compared to even a B foreign film. If only the monsters would win and destroy Hollywood.
